When Bill and Janinne Brooks of Briscoe County first enrolled their kids in 4-H in the 1980s, their goal was just to raise good kids. They never planned to raise award-winning extension leaders. But that is exactly what they did.

Sue Jane Sullivan was born on March 13, 1956, in Colorado City, Texas, to Guy Lloyd Sullivan and Lillie Mae McCleskey. She attended Snyder High School, where she was inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1972 state champions volleyball team.
