COURTHOUSE COMPLETION CLOSE Work on the historic Hall County courthouse in downtown Memphis is closing in, said County Judge Ray Powell, with completion expected this December. The 22,123–square-foot courthouse, built in 1924, is a Classical Revival design with four levels, featuring red brick with cream-colored cast stone trim, elaborate entry pavilions, tall composite columns, and decorative festoons. | CAPROCK COURIER

Hall County approaching completion of historic courthouse in Memphis

Body After more than two years of construction work, during which Hall County staff in the county seat of Memphis have officed out of temporary headquarters nearby, the restoration of the county’s historic courthouse is nearing completion, according to County Judge Ray Powell.
