Guthrie CSD surveying interest in 4-day week

A survey on the Guthrie School website is asking for GCSD parents to share their opinion on a possible four-day school week. Several area schools have gone to a four-day week, including Paducah, Motley County and Patton Springs. Childress ISD is also considering the possibility of a four-day week.

We girls got Wanda’s quilt finished after lunch Thursday and it turned out so beautiful. It will certainly be a treasure to the one who gets it, IF she gives it away. Everyone was blessed by the Baptist revival, and we pray for those who rededicated their lives.

DO GOODERS’ CLUB FALL BAZAAR NOV. 5 IN FLOMOT

The Do Gooders’ Club sponsored Fall Bazaar will be Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Community Center in Flomot. Visitors are welcomed to the vendors booths with a variety of arts and crafts, baked goods, clothes and etc.

Bro. Chuck Harrison and members of the United Methodist Church in Matador gave a surprise party for Mrs. Earlyne Jameson on her 93rd birthday held Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Rehab Center in Matador. When entering the room, a resounding Happy Birthday greeted her and colorful floating balloons.

Motley Co. beats Patton Springs 58-7

The Motley County Matadors bounced back from their heartbreaking loss to Jayton last week with a resounding victory over the Patton Springs Rangers. The Matadors traveled 20 miles south to Afton to take on Patton Springs in a district contest.
