Body Do I hear a storm stirring in the distance? Nope, that’s just the rival teams of Valley and Silverton preparing for the big Battle of Briscoe County football game Friday, Oct. 24.This rival battle dates back to 1927, when Silverton defeated the Quitaque Panthers 14-0.

Matadors hunt Hedley OwlsThursday

Body The Motley County Matadors will kick off their district season against the Hedley Owls on Thursday, Oct. 23.Currently ranked 1A D-2 #8, the Matadors are picked over the Owls by 45 points.Game time will kick off at Hedley at 7 p.m. There will be no junior high game this week.
