Body Oh my goodness, here we go again with the coronavirus. I had hoped we would not have so much more of that, but! I hope it will not be bad and I will keep my mask handy. Glad I got my shots. I just got word that my late husband’s brother, Joe Ray Stodghill, passed away.

Scarlett & The Silvertown Band to perform at Jamaica July 25

Body Local musicians Scarlett & the Silvertown Band will be playing for Our Lady of Loreto’s annual Jamaica in Silverton on Sunday, July 25. Live music for the event begins at 11:30 a.m. The band plays an eclectic mix of country and rock from the ’80s and ’90s.

Body The quilters are enjoying the cool air from the new air conditioner. It really makes a difference and everyone is so proud of it. And the exercise group second the thanks for the cool room. The Methodist Church is hosting the Vacation Bible School this week.

Briscoe County sends notices of marks and brands renewal

Body Pursuant to Texas Agriculture Code 144.044 all Marks, Brands and Tattoos currently registered with the Briscoe County Clerk will expire on August 31, 2021. The renewal period for your Marks/Brands/ Tattoos is September 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.

Briscoe County youth compete in 4-H record book contest

Body More than 150 youth from 21 Panhandle counties submitted record books to be judged by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension service agents and adult volunteers at the Tri-State Fairgrounds July 10 in Amarillo.
