Briscoe Chili Cookoff coming up July 31

Body When the Briscoe County Cookoff Committee hosts its annual chili cookoff at the Quitaque Country Club on July 31 this year, the public will be invited to sample the chili. Pulled pork sandwiches will also be available. Anyone can enter the contest. The entry fee is $20.

Guthrie arranges for student athlete physicals; sets sports schedules for next month

Body All 6th through 12th grade Guthrie Common School District students in athletics will need to have a physical this year to compete. GCSD has arranged to take students on July 20 to the clinic in Crosbyton. Student athletes are to meet at the school at 7:15 a.m. for the bus.
