Body The Silverton Owls took down the Groom Tigers on Friday night to officially clinch the district title for the 2023–24 high school basketball season. The Tigers kept things close in the first quarter, trailing 11-7 early.

Body Throughout Matador this past week, community improvements were in evidence—especially to structures badly damaged in last June’s tornado. Across the town’s footprint, lots continue to be cleared and cleaned up, and debris piles are shrinking.

DRAGONS WIN The Paducah Dragons varsity boys basketball defeated Spur in overtime 61-57 on the road.The victory brings the Dragons district record to 7-2, and they are the district runners-up.
