Regenerative cotton farming, playas May 16 field day topics

A distinguished expert in regenerative farming and ranching in the Muleshoe and Slaton areas and a farmer from Ropesville dedicated to regenerative agriculture are headline speakers at a Playa Field Day May 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Floyd County Friends Unity Center at 990 FM 786 just outside of Lockney. Doors will open at 9 a.m. with registration and refreshments.

Bus tour reveals secrets of Caprock area

A big red tour bus left Lubbock on May 2 with 43 passengers affiliated with theLubbockWomen’sClub, headed for a day trip to Roaring Springs, Matador and Crosbyton. There were many other discoveries throughout the day of the little-known Caprock–Rolling Plains region.
