Cottle chief appraiser resigns

Body In a special meeting of the Cottle County Tax Appraisal District board of director Dec. 13, the board voted to accept the resignation of chief appraiser Nakia Hargrave effective Dec. 28, 2023.
LIVES AND PROPERTY WERE LOST the evening of Wednesday, June 21, 2023, when a powerful tornado struck just to the west of Matador, seat of Motley County, and carved a path of destruction southward as far as Jayton and Rotan. Thanks to a resilient spirit, an outpouring of help, and generous financial assistance, Matador is already rebuilding its landmarks, including the badly damaged Billie Dean’s Restaurant (right; current photo, below right). | CAPROCK COURIER

Body I did not meet with the quilters as I have had a really bad sinus attack. Shots and medicine have helped some but have taken their time to make me feel much better. We have really enjoyed the slow rain we have had the last few days.
