Guthrie announces 2024-25 GHS, GJHS cheerleaders

Body Congratulations go to those selected to be Guthrie’s cheerleaders in the upcoming year. The new Guthrie High School Cheer Squad will be CJ Winslow, Sierra Jones, Mattie Masterson and Dana Parnell.

GUTHRIE LADY JAGS TENNIS

Body Congratulations go to the Guthrie Lady Jags tennis team, who competed in the Seymour Tennis Tournament last week. Lyndee and Natalie were girls doubles consolation champions; Jaydee and Dana earned 2nd Place in girls doubles.

Body Congratulations go to the Guthrie Jags Tennis Team. The boys ended up playing each other for the consolation championship at the SeymourTennisTournament— with Steven and Zane playing Gage and Justin. Steven and Zane ended up winning the Doubles Consolation Championship. 

PADUCAH NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Body Coach Eric Rekieta of the Paducah Dragons was named the new athletic director for Paducah ISD. Rekieta has been the football coach for Paducah for the past three years.

Body A large number of high school and junior high athletes have come out for track at Motley County. Last week, the Motley junior high boys won the Rolling Plains Relays in Jayton. (see results below)
