Big book sale in progress at Motley County Library

Body The annual Book Sale is now in progress at the Motley County Library in downtown Matador. “This is a big sale with a great selection of books, DVDs and audiobooks,” said librarian Carla Meador.

Body Everything went well the few days I was in Lubbock with Donna while she took her treatments. She is doing well and we are so thankful. We would get Carol after she finished work and we found some really good places to get supper.

Hunters encouraged to bring their deer to check stations

Body Hunters pursuing mule deer this fall in Briscoe, Childress, Cottle, Floyd, Hall, Motley and Lynn counties will be required to comply with an antler restriction regulation that prohibits the harvest of any mule deer buck with a main beam outside spread of less than 20 inches.

Silverton Downtown Association sponsors ‘Light up the Square’ event on Dec. 3

Body As the holiday season begins, the Silverton Downtown Association has invited businesses, organizations, churches and families to participate in the festivities on the square by decorating Christmas trees and downtown business windows starting November 19.
