Cottle County’s Bi-Centennial Library moved into its newly renovated location on the courthouse square. A new coffee shop and a new quilt shop have opened downtown.

Four downtown buildings destroyed in Memphis fire

On Monday afternoon in the Hall County seat of Memphis, a fire that began in an abandoned building spread to other structures on the east side of the city of just over 2,000.
According to the Hall County sheriff’s office dispatch, no injuries were reported.

It’s that time of year—Paducah Pickins will be coming up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., March 5 at the Moffit Show Barn in the Cottle County seat. Local businesses and vendors will be set up for shopping and food. The admission price is $2.
