Body VALLEY ALL STARS Gunnar Bowles and Adrian Valdes represented Valley in the Texas Six Man Coaches All Star game last weekend in Wichita Falls. Bowles played football and Valdes played basketball. Both graduated with the Class of 2023, and it was their last time to represent Valley.

Four killed after tornado hits Matador

Body MATADOR— Four people are dead and nine (later updated to 15) are injured after a tornado hit Matador, a small town northeast of Lubbock, late Wednesday night. The tornado wa s brought on by several severe storms in the region.

Silverton Library to host summer reading program through June 30

Body “Dive Into the Ocean” is the theme of this year’s summer reading program in Silverton. The Silverton Library, at 405 Broadway, is hosting an“underwater” adventure program every weekdayafternoon,1:00to 2:00 p.m., June 26-30.
