Two from Silverton named to Fall 2025 dean’s list

Body LEVELLAND— South Plains College congratulates over 800 students named to the college’s fall 2025 dean’s list, including two students from Silverton: Colton Knight and Elisha Saiz.To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.25 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Body The Motley County Matadors are 14-2 following a non-district victory in Springlake-Earth on Friday, Jan 9, winning 52-48.The Lady Mats travelled south Friday for their first district matchup against Spur, losing 37-68.The varsity Matadors travelled to Roby on Tuesday, Jan.

Body The Guthrie Lady Jags added their fourth win in a row on Friday, Jan 9 after defeating Saint Jo 58-19.The Lady Jags tipped off their first district game of the season at Motley County while the Jaguars travelled to Hedley. Scores were not available at press time.

Body Paducah suffered two tough losses at home Friday night, Jan 9.The Lady Dragons fell 15-91 to Valley, followed by a Dragons loss to Jayton, 26-71.Both teams were to travel to host home games, Tuesday, Jan 13. The girls hosted Spur and the boys hosted Lockney.
