Matador News Birthdays Celebrated

Body Bro. Chuck Harrison and members of the United Methodist Church in Matador gave a surprise party for Mrs. Earlyne Jameson on her 93rd birthday held Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Rehab Center in Matador.

Body The Motley County Matadors bounced back from their heartbreaking loss to Jayton last week with a resounding victory over the Patton Springs Rangers. The Matadors traveled 20 miles south to Afton to take on Patton Springs in a district contest.

Paducah Dragons snag playoff berth with 55-8 win over Crowell

Body The Paducah Dragons made the playoffs in a mustwin game against their old rival the Crowell Wildcats. The Dragons had not had a win over the ’Cats in a few years, and hadn’t made the playoffs in many a year either. Both goals were accomplished on a cool, wet night in Crowell.

Body The Paducah Dragons blitzed the Chillicothe Eagles Friday night for their last home game, 78-0. The Dragons were hitting on all cylinders, offense and defense and could do no wrong in front of a big and loud home crowd.
