Body VALLEY FFA GARDEN GRANT Valley FFA has received a $1,200 Living to Serve Grant from the National FFA to start a school/community garden. Seedlings have been started and beds are being built. If you would like to help them get started, their next need is compost for raised beds.

Paducah boys win Area track meet

Body The Paducah Dragons boys’ varsity team won first place in the Area track meet in Post Friday, scoring a 123 points to earn the Area title. Jayton came in second to the Dragons with 92 points. The Lady Dragons came in 2nd with 104 points to Spur, who took the area title with 134.

Body A nice group of Roaring Springs Lions Club members and guests met at Billie Dean’s Restaurant in Matador last week for a regular meeting and lunch. Lion Boss Alvin Alexander opened the meeting with pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags .

Local Student Qualifies for Texas High School Rodeo State Finals

Body Owen Cogdell, a Silverton native, will be traveling to Abilene, Texas, June 6–12 to compete in the Texas High School Rodeo Association State Finals.
