Flomot DoGooders to host annual Spring Bazaar April 23

Body The DoGooders Quilting Club is a staple in the community of Flomot. A group of ladies who meet regularly at the local community center to quilt and socialize, they are giving back to their community in a big way.

Motley County Senior Citizens Center Menu

Body The Motley County Senior Citizens is open to serve meals inside or for carry out from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every weekday. Seating inside the center has been arranged to meet safety guidelines for dining 6 feet apart.

SAUSAGE DINNER APRIL 10

Body The Motley County Senior Citizens is having a fundraiser Sunday, April 10, starting at 11:30. We will serve homemade sausage made by Warren Multer family and provided by Betty Simpson. The menu will include pinto beans, potato salad, coleslaw and apple cobbler.

Body Overheard Like most of us who grew up during the Depression, I was told to save on everything, from electricity to food. I was told to save my “good clothes” for Sunday at church and even go barefoot during the summer to save on shoe leather. I didn’t mind.

Circus coming to Tulia April 7

Body TULIA—Thirty-two weeks out of every year, the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus travels to small towns across the U.S. On April 7, they will be in Tulia at Mackenzie Park. Showtimes will be 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Body We were so glad to have Rosemary Perkins back at quilting. She is able to do a lot of things now, even quilt and do most of the exercise. We are surprised and so happy to enjoy her back with us.
