Body SEASON CONCLUDES The Silverton Lady Owls ended their season Friday with a loss in Canyon, 61–44, to Springlake-Earth. Silverton fans packed the bleachers in Canyon in support of the Lady Owls who finished the year 19–10, 7-3 district and won a bi-district playoff championship.

Body We woke up Saturday morning to a surprise covering of snow that fell through the night. It was a wet snow and gave us a little moisture so we were very thankful for it, just wish it could have been more.

Body BI-DISTRICT CHAMPS The Guthrie Lady Jaguars defeated the Petersburg Lady Buffs last week to win the bi-district crown. They advanced to the Area round of the playoffs. The Lady Jags came up short in the area round against a tough Whiteface team with a final score of 34 - 54.

Body BI-DISTRICT CHAMPS The Valley Patriots were the first of the Caprock Country boys’ basketball teams to win a gold ball in the post-season playoffs. They defeated McLean 75–43 in Childress Monday night.
