Body September came but didn’t bring rain. The grass has turned yellow and the farmers are beginning to dry sow wheat hoping to get rain soon to furnish grazing for cows this winter. Silverton lost Roland Asebedo, and I am so sorry for the family.

Motley Co. blanks Crowell 48–0 before Homecoming crowd

Body A Matador fan couldn’t have asked for a better outcome in the Motley County versus Crowell game before a hometown crowd celebrating Homecoming last Friday night. A balanced offensive and defensive strategy put Motley County in command from the start.

Motley County wheat plantings nearly complete

Body Conditions are dry, warm and windy. Some field preparation activity took place, but most farmers were waiting for rain before moving forward with wheat planting. Motley County reported wheat plantings were nearly complete. Sugarcane aphids were reported in sorghum.

Body MOTLEY TRAINING Sergio Palacios from iDocket visited the Motley County Clerk's office. Sergio was here to help the recently appointed County and District Clerk D'anna Russell with the software that is used in the clerk's office for money transaction, records, and court.

Body Hurry! Here comes the iceman! It was a familiar call on a warm humid summer morning in the 1930s in our small village of Michigan. “It’s the iceman! Hurry!” Youngsters’ voices echoed the urgent message in our neighborhood. Children scampered swiftly, coming from all directions.

Motley County Senior Citizens Center Menu

Body The Motley County Senior Citizens is open to serve meals inside or for carry out from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every weekday. Seating inside the center has been arranged to meet safety guidelines for dining 6 feet apart.
