Guthrie hosts area XC meet last week; Foster finishes 2nd

Body The Guthrie Jaguarss and Lady Jags hosted their annual cross tournament on September 11, including 494 athletes.The high school boys were up first. They competed in a field of 109 runners, at a distance of 5000 meters. Guthrie’s Kaleb Green finished 7th with a time of 20:03.

Silverton loses heartbreaker with seconds left

Body The Silverton Owls faced the Vernon Northside Indians on Thursday night, ending with a heartbreaking loss, 31–32. It was a backand- forth battle all night and a nail-biting fourth quarter.The Owls began the 4th quarter behind the Indians 25–26.

Body The Division 2 ranked–#12 Motley County Matadors faced the Division 1 ranked–#65 Roby Lions last Friday, pulling off a good ol’ six-man mercy rule, 46-0 victory in the third quarter.
