Body ROLLING PLAINS TRACK A number of Caprock Country schools participated in the Rolling Plains Track Meet Friday in Jayton, including Silverton, Valley, Paducah, Matador and Guthrie. Silverton won the boys meet, and the Silverton girls finished third.

Body finished in 2nd place last week in its District UIL meet at Jayton, whose team finished first. Other schools competing were Paducah, Spur, Patton Springs and Motley County. Guthrie amassed 226 points in the competition.

Body District meet Valley earned 200 points to finish 3rd in Overall Sweepstakes in District. A number of Valley students advanced to Regionals, and the school also finished 3rd in Speech Team Sweepstakes and 2nd in Journalism Team Sweepstakes.
