Body The Motley County Matadors bounced back from their heartbreaking loss to Jayton last week with a resounding victory over the Patton Springs Rangers. The Matadors traveled 20 miles south to Afton to take on Patton Springs in a district contest.

Body The Amarillo Globe-News has named the Valley Lady Patriots basketball team as one of the Top 10 teams in their annual Panhandle pre-season poll. The Valley girls were picked as number three.

Body The Paducah Dragons made the playoffs in a mustwin game against their old rival the Crowell Wildcats. The Dragons had not had a win over the ’Cats in a few years, and hadn’t made the playoffs in many a year either. Both goals were accomplished on a cool, wet night in Crowell.
