Body We had another cold spell with a little snow but it was so, so cold. Thursday, it was warm enough to join the others in the afternoon. There is still a lot to be done but we are still at it.

High school teams will play in these new districts for the next two years. For football Valley has been added to Spur’s district and that district lost Paducah. Body The Valley Patriots boys’ basketball team took a big step toward back-to-back District 2-1A championships by defeating Hedley at home 46–34 Friday night.

Spurettes host Lady Jays to determine district crown, playoff seeding

Body The only blemish on the Spur Spurettes varsity girls’ basketball district record is a loss to the Jayton Lady Jays on January 18 in Jayton. When the Lady Jays come calling Friday in Spur, the Spurettes are certain to want to offer them the same reception.
