Silverton to offer free EMT classes

Body Silverton Emergency Management Services is offering free Emergency Medical Technician classes. The cost of this kind of training is typically around $500, but due to a shortage of certified personnel, Silverton EMS is offering the class for free.

Area students make ‘Ag Day’ trip

Body More than 150 students from the 5th and 6th grades from Memphis, Clarendon, Hedley, Valley, Silverton and Claude gathered in Clarendon to be exposed to all areas of agriculture at Ag Day, which was held at the Donley County Show Barn in Clarendon on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
