Matadors beat Spur 79-54

The Motley County Matadors football team defeated the Spur Bulldogs 79–54 Friday night. According to head coach Mike Bigham, Kadyn Roys— who is a senior captain for the Matadors this year—“had a really big game for us as he led us to victory over Spur.”

Valley XC medals at Bison Run meet

athletes competed in the Bison Run XC meet at Caprock Canyons State Park last week. Medaling for Valley junior high boys were Micah Ferrel, 7th, and Cinch Crowell, 10th. For junior high girls, medalists were Hartley Battey, 5th, and Paisley Cruse, 9th.

Silverton surprises Paducah 64-46 in home victory

Silverton’s Sawyer Francis was atop the Press Pass Sports watch list for a reason in early August, and he’s backed up why in a major way. The 6-foot-3 sprinter racked up 160 yards on the ground with six touchdowns to lead Silverton to a 64-46 home victory over Paducah on Thursday night.

FRIENDSHIP QUILTERS

We had fun, as usual, at quilting, and we got to roll both sides again. It’s looking smaller, but I don't think we will finish for a couple of weeks. But we never get in a hurry, as the next one is always ready.

Knox Co. tops Motley Co. 52-6

the #1 Division 1 team in the state, Westbrook, last week, the Knox City Greyhounds were formidable at home in stopping the Motley County Matadors. Even in a 52–6 loss to the now rated #3-in-thestate in Division 1 Greyhounds, the Matadors had some bright spots.
